Wanderlust Wednesday – Week 16

Fairy Pools, Isle of Skye, Scotland

I’m off on holiday to Scotland soon. Not to the Isle of Skye where these ‘Fairy Pools’ are, but Inverness at the other end of Lock Ness. Needed a bit of Scottish landscape this week to keep me going at work before I get there!

Where in Scotland do you particularly love? Let us know in the comments below!

Wanderlust Wednesday – Week 10

We are sticking with Scotland this week, but heading from the Highlands to the Outer Hebrides…

Isle of Harris, Outer Hebrides, Scotland

I think maybe I need to start planning a round-trip to Scotland, taking in all of the places I so desperately want to visit!!!

You coming? 🙂

Wanderlust Wednesday – Week 9

We are heading to Scotland this week – way past the ‘doorway’ we featured in Week 1!

Beinn Eighe, Scottish Highlands

This is a view of Beinn Eighe, in the Scottish Highlands. I’ve booked a weeks holiday to Scotland for next year near where I grew up and I can’t wait to go back and explore again!

Have you ever been to Scotland? Thinking of booking a trip now?

Another fab photo to fuel your wanderlust coming next week!

Orkney – a trip next year

Some of my good friends live up in Scotland. On one of the Orkney Islands to be specific.

Don’t know exactly where that is? Here is a map…

Basically, off the northern tip of Scotland, in the North Sea.

Not the best of weather up there a lot of the time

Bit of rough weather

but from what my friends have said, a great place to live.

And I am going to have the opportunity to go & stay with them for a short while next year before they sell their property and move back down south.

There is a lot to do up on Orkney; this photo covers a few of the highlights…..

But there is plenty more to discover around the islands!

I can’t wait to get up there and do a bit of exploring!

Check out this coastline……

Doesn’t it look gorgeous?!

I just wish I had been able to afford a trip to see them this year.

My friend’s husband runs Orkwolf, Orkney’s only licensed breeders. And do you know what they breed? Czechoslovakian Wolfdog and Wolf Hybrid’s! Man, these animals are amazing….

I am really looking forward to making the journey up there and getting the chance to explore and discover all the amazing things on those islands. And of course, hang out with those magnificent wolfdogs!

I will keep you posted with update on travel plans, and of course, when the time comes, there will be plenty of photos.

But for now, why don’t you check out the Orkwolf website and Facebook page! You might even fall in love with them yourself!
